My quest started a about a year ago, my mission- To find a DECENT Philly cheesesteak sandwich in San Diego. I toiled around on yelp, asked a few a friends, and after trying a handful of spots around town, I found it. Finally! Giorgino's in Golden Hill. Not just a decent cheesesteak- but one that takes me right back to Pennsylvania. These things are PACKED with flavor. I get the works cheesesteak- that means tender sauteed mushrooms and bell peppers along with the usual onions, steak, and cheese. It wouldn't be right to use the clichéed "it melts in your mouth"- this sandwich DISSOLVES...
