yesterday, the family/i spent the morning at the world famous san diego zoo. a lovely expedition, although (NOT a dig,) what makes the zoo "world famous?" i've wondered for years. is it the heart-attack inducing hills? the price of a chicken wrap? or, the leopard that my son named "spotty?" a stunning specimen, spotty welcomes a group visiting from arizona. as the leopard retreats to HIS lair, we are given a "world famous" kodak moment. question answered, it's spotty.
