this sunday, san diego celebrates 20 Years of the Paddle for Clean Water by “Honoring the Past, Engaging the Future” !! it'll me 6th year emceeing, i couldn't more excited / proud. WHEN: sunday, september 18, 2011, from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon WHERE: Ocean Beach Pier, 1950 Abbott St. San Diego, CA 92107 WHAT: the San Diego Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation will host its 20th Annual Paddle for Clean Water this Sunday morning, September 18th. SURFRIDER's 18th annual PADDLE FOR CLEAN WATER is SUNDAY, sept. 13th. an attendee since the early 90s, "the paddle" is my FAVORITE surf event in san diego. in short, the ocean gives SO much, it's a wonderful way to say thanks/pay respect. involved over the years as a radio partner, today i volunteer as an emcee. here's a clip from last year (joined on stage by a special guest, ha!) : [youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNdoZkcH0iY[/youtube] bill hickman, a friend and SURFRIDER foundation's san diego chapter coordinator, continues to do a tremendous job with the event....
