roberts & lord : eponymous

san diego’s rafter roberts (of rafter) + UK’s simon lord (of simian) = roberts & lord / eponymous.

roberts & lord met on myspace (??) in 2010.

an instant / furious connection, their transatlantic relationship flourished into a new album full of fuzzy, FUN, electro-indie-pop jams.

here’s how the recording worked :

(1) backing music was recorded on a 4-track tape machine at roberts’ san diego studio.

(2) roberts forwarded the tracks to lord in the UK, who recorded vocals + sent ‘em on back with tweaks.

(3) the end.
