due to overwhelming demand + awesomeness, RUSH extends their ‘time machine’ tour in 2011 with a stop at cricket wireless amphitheater, JUNE 18.

released in 1981, moving pictures was their most successful album — certified 4x Platinum — and features tom sawyer, limelight, and the epic instrumental, YYZ.

my favorite band growing up, i literally mowed lawns / delivered papers for rush records. in high school, my red ’67 VW bug had the words ‘red barchetta’ carved into its license plate frame — ‘red barchetta’, a song off moving pictures.

i’ve seen the canadian 3-piece at least a dozen times since 1983′s signals tour — every show, with a dude, because chicks don’t dig rush (“his voice is too whiny”).
