last night was the soundDiego launch party at barBasic /east village. a killer turnout, the night was full of good vibes, amazing people, and some of san diego's finest musicians. the 11 o'clock news stopped by to cover the event : the great steve poltz introduced the great gregory page : my friend, barbarella, had kind things to say : hey, it's tim pyles :

last year, my radio pal hal, or former 94/9er mike halloran, introduced me to the fine folks at fay elementary, and their RED ACROSS AMERICA program. "You're never too old, too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and read to a child." dr. suess. invited back, i had the great pleasure of reading dr. suess books to 1st and 5th graders. a special thank to the teachers / staff / students for making my visit so enjoyable ... and, thanks for the chocolate chip cookie and juice box ! here's some video from the 5th grade reading (special thanks to my cameraman, tommy, and director "gap girl")...
