dear santa

dear santa.

i realize it’s christmas eve and you’ve got your hands full, but i wanted to send you the following note.

two years ago, i lost my job during christmas. with a baby boy at home, it was the scariest time of my life. consumed in sadness / fear / insecurity, i didn’t acknowledge your existence. if i had, i would have asked you for a new job.

one year ago, my daughter was born during christmas. an amazing GIFT, it also compounded my fears / worries. at the time, i asked you for a better year than 2008. you delivered.

this christmas, i ask for NOTHING. instead, i extend my deepest appreciation.

thank you for a healthy / beautiful family.

thank you for an amazing group of friends.

thank you for the (many) lessons learned.

thank you for cantore creative, its staff / partners / clients.

thank you for what 2010 is gonna bring …
