two years ago, i lost my job during christmas. with a baby boy at home, it was the scariest time of my life. consumed in sadness / fear / insecurity, i didn't acknowledge your existence. if i had, i would have asked you for a new job.
one year ago, my daughter was born during christmas. an amazing GIFT, it also compounded my fears / worries. at the time, i asked you for a better year than 2008. you delivered.
