reunions.

for live music fans, a sour economy can be a positive.

bands are putting their fragile egos aside, to reunite: blink182, jane’s addiction, no doubt, blur, and nkotb (to name a few.)

doing it for us, the adoring fans? ha. to generate revenue, in a sour economy? mmm-hmm.

no, gwen stefani isn’t hurting financially. but, the rest of the band (that put her on the map?) different tax bracket.

in short, artists established in the silly-money 90s are having a hard time surviving in the current, cash-starved music industry.

solution: reunite, and tour, tour, tour!

with new veneers, botax, tans, and propecia prescriptions, our favorite bands from “back in the day” are hitting the road, selling out arenas, and making a gangload in merch sales.

after all, who wouldn’t want a “creed: ressurrected” t-shirt?

despite all the attention these 90′s revivals are receiving, there is only one band i’m genuinely excited to catch (at least until SDRE makes it official.)

ironically, not only is this reunion receiving the least amount of attention in traditional media, but it’s probably the only band truly committed to “the art.”

that, my friend, is the genius of mike patton and faith no more…
