michael jackson saved my grandma.
in december 1997, my maternal grandparents, joseph and concetta delisi, were on an american airlines flight from JFK to LAX. sitting coach, they were visiting my family for christmas.
a couple of hours into the flight, my grandma (literally) falls ill. what started as a stomach ache, ended with granny fainting and tumbling into [...]
father’s day.
prior to becoming a father, i was a child.
in fact, i possessed many of the same characteristics of a toddler. specifically, i lacked patience, it was “all about ME” and, if i didn’t get my way, i’d pout. yucko.

additionally, they [...]

for many, the del mar fair marks the official start of summer (present company included.)
every year, the fair is themed. this year, it’s “music mania.” while i [...]
reunions.
for live music fans, a sour economy can be a positive.
bands are putting their fragile egos aside, to reunite: blink182, jane’s addiction, no doubt, blur, and nkotb (to name a few.)
doing it for us, the adoring fans? ha. to generate revenue, in a sour economy? mmm-hmm.
no, gwen stefani [...]
