nine inch nails/jane’s addiction.

last time i saw these bands share the same stage, july 20, 1991, devore stadium for lollapalooza.

already a HUGE jane’s fan (they were my “nirvana,”) it was my first introduction to NIN (live.) in short, they absolutely blew my mind. i had never experienced anything like it. i was scared, mesmerized, and instantly hooked.

last night, many moons later, trent_reznor brought the same energy and emotion (with some serious rambo-esque guns.)

as far as jane’s addiction, it was wonderful seeing them in full form…

perry: powered through a pulled hammy injury with loads of kooky personality.

dave: is such a rock star (with a harem of ladies stage right.)

perkins: one of the BEST rock drummers, period.

ericA: i LOVE ericAvery. specifically, his playing, vibe, and socal style (one of my favorite bassists, next to mike watt.)

oh, the memories…..
