daryl hall.

as a prepubescent kid living in suburbia, to raise a buck, i would mow lawns for $5 bucks a pop. big properties, $10.

i figured, for every couple of lawns i mowed, i could pick up a record (or, cassette) at tower records. my client list expanded (beyond my parents and grandparents,) along with my music library.

in addition to led zeppelin, pink floyd, rush, and, van halen…strangely enough, i fancied the crockett and tubbs of pop music, hall and oates.

despite my fondness for h&o, until recently, i’d (still) confuse daryl hall for john oates, and vice versa. “who’s the one with the blond hair, and who has the black, curly mullet with porn ’stache?!?”

not anymore, since being introduced to LIVE from daryl’s house. in short, daryl hall (the one with the blond hair) is hosting one the coolest shows on the interweb. seriously.

this is my favorite episode, with company of thieves. granted, i’m a tad biased (i have a thing for gen.)

here’s ray manzarek and john densmore, of THE DOORS, jamming at daryl’s house (love the acoustic amps):

in closing, another example of superior content being housed online, compared to traditional platforms. personally, i’d rather see ‘live from daryl’s house’ on vh1 than ‘new york goes to work.’

but, that’s just me.
