(asked to help get the word out,) the following video was forwarded to me by "a friend" in the local music community. needless to say, i find the subject matter despicable and vile. sadly, it happens everyday. in short, those within a subculture are HUMAN BEINGS, and when said HUMAN BEINGS are targeted for being different, humanity suffers as a whole. i commend rhythm turner for having the courage to take her story public. be well, chris.
more to the story ...so this dude, ross ching, made an unofficial video for death cab for cutie's "little bribes." i digg it (for many reasons.) artistry/music aside, ross is a recent SDSU graduate and spent years at kpbs. he also happens to be looking for a job (like many of us.) in less than 2 days, the video has been viewed over 19,000 times. enjoy: Death Cab for Cutie - Little Bribes from Ross Ching on Vimeo.
more to the story ...my mom is rad. when i was a kid, and she would get mad, she would chase me with a spoon and threaten me with my dad. when i felt fat, she would tell me i was big-boned, if i was a scientist, she would be the mom i cloned. my mom is rad, she shuttled me to concerts in her ford aerostar. backed my radio career, although preferred law school and the bar. she makes the most amazing cheesecake and eggplant parmesan. if we lived in mexico, i'd say my mom was number juan. my mom is rad, she has been there for me with unconditional love and support, even when i crashed her minivan and had to go traffic...
