since the publication of this post, CA jobless rate climbs to 9.3%.

According to recent reports, at the end of 2008, the jobless rate in California hit 8.4 percent (compared to the national jobless rate of 6.7 percent.) Needless to say, that number is expected to hit the double digits in 2009. [...]
